Good News/Bad News

We spoke with the boys Tuesday.....it was great to hear their voices!

Yesterday Brent finally got in contact with the attorney! :) Thankgoodness! (you are wonderful Brent!) We got good news and bad (or maybe worrisome is a better word) news. We are in PGN. And the attorney said that the change in adoption laws won't affect us now! What a relief for that! Cristian's paperwork is fine, however Isaac's is not. How ironic considering it is identical with the exception of their names! Two different people must have processed them and whoever did Isaac's paperwork must have been pickier. The problem is we don't know exactly what needs to be fixed. Donie (the director of the orphanage) is trying to get it solved and corrected. The lawyer emphasized that it needed to be corrected by Dec 20th! Considering how slowly things move in Guatemala, to me this seems almost impossible. I'm not exactly sure what it means if it isn't corrected by the 20th?? It's all very unclear to me right now. Yesterday I was spazzing out about it.....today I've calmed down. I know that it is in God's hands.....it will work out!! My mind does the "what if's"sometimes.......something I know I shouldn't do. My good friend Greg Chow helped put things into perspective yesterday with this verse:

All things work together for good to them that love God,
to them who are the called according to his purpose.
Romans 8:28

Our friends, Kim & Greg Chow, are in the process of adopting Miguel (13 yo) from Casa Bernabe. Our boys are great friends, and it is such a blessing that they will be so close to each other once they arrive in the states. Please continue to pray for the adoption process for Issac, Cristian & Miguel. Thanks for sharing part of your day with us! :)
