Great news yesterday!....Casa Bernabe has the boys birth certificates!!!!!...................

What a relief! So they will be home probably within a month!! They go pick up their passports this Wednesday the 22nd and then the paperwork will be taken to the US Embassy. Then it takes about a week to get our "pink slip" in an email which will give us our appointment date at the Embassy in Guatemala City to finalize everything! Usually the appt date is about 1 week from when we receive the pink slip, so looks like we will be traveling soon to bring our boys home :) We'll let you know as soon as we know the exact dates.

AWESOME!!! I'm glad to see that the US Embassy finally got smart and is issuing the pink slips via email (like they do the PA). They didn't do that when we were going through the process. Our lawyer didn't go pick it up or tell us in time and we found out that our appt was Aug 28th ON Aug 28th!! ugh. We had to wait another week to get a new one and then another week to get Wendy. I sent the embassy an email suggesting that maybe they should just send an email instead of relying on the attorneys. I'm sure many other moms did the same (who had also missed their appts). :) Good to see something improving. :)
